New Site

Hello all been a while since my last post. I've been really busy had someone ask me why I'm not doing craft shows and it threw me for a loop hadn't had time up to that point. Then I realized I do have time now so started looking into those options and wow what a bunch of loops to jump threw had to get a tax number for PA and then a tent for outside shows then a table and finally a table cover. When I thought all through I discovered need stakes for the tent. Well got it all then started thinking about what if someone sees me but doesn't buy how will they track me down later.... So I setup a new site and I think it is mostly finished today. So go check it out, sign up to my newsletter I am going to try and keep notices on that for where I'll be as I get ok's from shows. Here is the new site link ladyscroller.com

One Long Winter

It has been one long and busy winter here. Had a lot of Christmas orders to work my way through and finished them on time thank goodness. Then had some thank you gifts to make that took till a couple weeks ago. Now I'm working on spring items have a pharmacy that has offered to put my stuff in their front window to sell so we shall see how this works out. I'm excited about the idea now making some items for them and trying to stay ahead of the holidays.

It has been a long couple weeks since last I posted. I have been busy getting things finished for a yard sale/craft thing. My mom and gramma wanted to do a yard sale and I said I had some things I could sell as well and since I was at it they live along a main road I might try and sell some wood things. Well I did get interest from alot of people and family did buy some things. I specifically got interest from one person on the gun still pictured below and he asked me about the possibility of making it with pheasants or turkey. If the gentleman that asked me that question happens to read this the answer is yes. I can make it with pheasants, turkey, mallards, geese and a few other choices. so if your interested please drop me a email won't be till next year this Christmas has filled up fast on me and getting closer by the minute.

Someone the other day asked me what scroll saw I was using. I started out with a borrowed sears scroll saw that had pins to hold in the blades. Was ok but if didn't have a clearer for the saw dust building up on what I was cutting and not alot of options for blades either. So next I heard about this grizzly place that was soo great. Went and checked them out came home with their scroll saw and had all sorts of troubles. First off because the arm was so big it wouldn't track a straight line no matter how often we retightened the arms pins. Of course still had pin ends for blades but this one came with an adapter so I could use pinless blades. Well that was awful had these little blocks that you had to try and get end of blade in and then set them in place above and below the arms holding lower one in place so it wouldn't drop to the floor and place tension on the blade. By then I was frustrated to say the least. Well my husband started looking online at options out there from really expensive to not so much and what they did and did not have and how they all worked. We learned alot quickly. After all that learning I found the scroll saw I use to this day and wouldn't be without it a Delta. Yep not an expensive one nope and works great. This uses pinnless blades which gives you lots of options for blades. And has a air nozzle to clear out sawdust as you cut and best of all what they call soft start. This means if your in a cut and have to turn off the saw when you turn it back on the saw comes up to speed slowly giving you time to hold your piece in place without all that smacking it off the table stuff the others do. This one also has speed options on it so you can slow it down or speed it up. I have put this scroll saw thru its paces and have loved it from day one. It is easier on my arms i'm not pushing down so hard on what i'm cutting out and because of speed changing I can slow it down right while i'm cutting or speed it up if I working hardwood and it is trying to burn. below are some pics of things i've done lately with my delta scroll saw. The link below to amazon for a delta scroll saw is not the saw I have. They do have my saw once you get there from here just put in delta SS350LS shopmaster deluxe 2 amp 16 inch benchtop scroll saw. The other saw that is linked below is also a good saw just not what I am currently using.

Hello out there! I am a scroller saw person. I also do wood painting and work on a bandsaw and with other wood tools. I have been scrolling for about 7 years now. Most of what I make goes for gifts although I do get some orders for things. Haven't had time to get to a craft show yet hoping to someday. Right now working on things to sell at my families yard sale see how that goes an go from there. Below area couple pics of what I have made.
